Easter Sunday—it falls on March 31 this year—is right around the corner, and with it comes the usual mad dash to the grocery store. Between preparing for the annual egg hunt to shopping for the kids’ Easter outfits to curating the family’s Easter feast, you have a bajillion action items competing for your attention.
The last thing you want to worry about is whether your local grocery store is open on Easter. No need to worry—I’ve got you covered. Below is a list of major grocery stores with their operating hours, so you know where to go for any last-minute items.
Stores Open on Easter Sunday
Luckily, most major stores in the US will be open on Easter Sunday with the exception of a select few following adjusted hours or closing altogether. Keep in mind that many stores have region-specific hours, so be sure to either call your local grocery store or check individual store hours using their location finder.
Normal hours of operation:
Albertsons: 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Food Lion: 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Harris Teeter: 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Kroger: 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Lidl: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; select stores will be closed
Safeway: 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Stop & Shop: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Trader Joe’s: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Walmart: 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Wegmans: 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Adjusted hours:
Piggly Wiggly: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Whole Foods Market: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
