Las Vegas Aviators to kick off season with USAF flyover, fireworks

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Las Vegas Aviators will play its first game of the 2024 season on Friday with a three-game home series over the weekend against the Reno Aces, a Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, and there will be some fanfare.

“We are excited to start the 2024 season with a homestand at Las Vegas Ballpark,” stated Don Logan, Aviators president and COO. “It will be a tremendous opening weekend welcoming Triple-A baseball back to Las Vegas.”

The weekend festivities include a flyover from the U.S. Air Force’s 17th Weapons Squadron before the game starts at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, March 29. Following the game, there will be a fireworks display.

Over four seasons, more than 2 million people have attended the games and there have been 81 sellouts.
