The actress, known for her roles in Blade Runner, Wall Street and other ’80s films, was booked for misdemeanor battery around 10:30 p.m. and later released. An LAPD spokesperson did not give further details.
According to The Associated Press, citing City News Service, Young posted $20,000 bail and was out of jail around 3 a.m. Monday. Young, 52, had been arrested at 9:25 p.m. at the star-studded Governors Ball, the Oscars’ official party.
Meanwhile, TMZ reported that Young allegedly slapped a security guard at the soiree, resulting in her arrest. The incident occurred after the guard noticed that actress — who was standing near the Governors’ entrance — did not have a ticket for the event and twice asked her to leave, TMZ said.
A representative for the actress could not immediately be reached.
Young, who has tried to live down a reputation as somewhat of a loose cannon, made headlines in 2006 when she attempted to get into the ultra-VIP Vanity Fair Oscar party without an invite. Two years later, she entered rehab for alcohol abuse after being asked to leave the DGA Awards.
