Person dies after crash on Lanvale Road in Brunswick County

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A person is dead after a vehicle v. pedestrian crash in Brunswick County.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office and State Highway Patrol responded to the crash on Lanvale Road and Old Fayetteville Road on Tuesday night.

A spokeswoman with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office confirms someone involved in the crash has died.

According to a witness, the victim left a store to get on their bike. Another person followed them out of the store, got into a truck, and ran the person on the bike over. The person in the truck then allegedly turned around and hit the person who was on the bike again.

Officials have not confirmed any details of the crash.
