Circles Around The Sun and Mikaela Davis & Southern Star set their coordinates for Boston’s Brighton Music Hall on Friday for the latest stop on their joint tour.

While the instrumental disco quartet and their harp-infused rock n’ roll counterparts traverse the Eastern United States, CATS and Davis are also rolling out a series of collaborative singles. The combo kicked off 2024 with the joint track “After Sunrise” in January, followed last month by “Gloaming Way”. The songs will appear on their forthcoming album together After Sunrise and follow their previous work together on “Language” from Circles Around The Sun’s 2023 album of the same name.

Each show of the tour, comically billed as “together again for the first time,” features a single extended set from each act. Then at the end, Circles Around The Sun and Mikaela Davis & Southern Star come together for a collaborative performance in a unique nightly display of their gestating artistic entanglement.
