The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame and Museum inducted its 2023 class over the weekend.

The Hall of Fame hosted its induction ceremony Saturday night at the Muskogee Civic Center.

Musician Shelby Eicher performed after being inducted.

Retired Muskogee High School Music Educator Jerry Huffer was inducted after 60 years of teaching music.

Singer/songwriter Verlon Thompson is another new hall of fame member.

Producer, promoter, artist manager, and former Grammy Board Vice President David Webb was there to accept his award, as well.

Timothy Long, a world-renowned pianist, composer and conductor was also inducted. But weather delayed his flight from New York, so he couldn't be there in person to accept.

And a special moment came when they paid “Red Solo Cup” tribute to 2007 inductee, the late Toby Keith.

The night wrapped up with past and present inductees coming up on stage singing Merle Haggard’s “Okie from Muskogee” — on the very stage where Haggard played a historic concert 55 years ago.
