Gee Prime makes Promises in his latest Amapiano single

In a melodic and soulful exploration of the promises woven into the fabric of love, rising artist Gee Prime has released his latest soulful Amapiano single entitled Promises.

Collaborating with one of the finest producers Vanni.FLP, whose TikTok beat resonated deeply, the artists’ creative synergies lead to the creation of the harmonious masterpiece that is Promises.

“My sound is a distinctive take on a genre known as Private School Piano, which stands at the crossroads of lounge music and the rich cultural tapestry of Amapiano.
“It’s characterised by its easy listening nature, akin to lounge music, providing listeners with an auditory escape, a sensation of being transported elsewhere,” says Gee Prime.
Before the unveiling of Promises, Gee Prime – real name Gontse Chauke – enriched his discography with a variety of singles, each a unique exploration.
From the debut solo A re Deitane to the heart-warming project Tsa Ko Spain, where a Spanish guitar meets Amapiano, and the reflective A Matter of Time inspired by deep house music, each piece is a testament to the artist’s willingness to experiment and continuously evolve.

Drawing his musical palette from a diverse array of artists, from classic R&B to contemporary pop and hip-hop, the Midrand-based artist is influenced by the storytelling of Robert Glasper, Musiq Soulchild, Gregory Porter and the innovation of Kanye West of whom he one day aspires to collaborate with.
