Schumer to bring Suffolk Legislator Kevin McCaffrey as guest to State of the Union address

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has announced that he will bring Kevin McCaffrey, Suffolk County legislator and president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 707, as his guest to President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address.
Schumer’s office says he and McCaffrey worked together to bring pension relief to thousands of Long Island retirees.
More than $812 million was brought to retirees as part of the American Rescue Plan. That money helped restore payments for more than 4,000 retired Long Island and New York City truck operators and delivery drivers.
President Biden will be delivering his State of the Union address tonight.
With the 2024 election in full swing, it is a chance for Biden to make his case for a second term to millions of American.
