Nothing But Thieves Drop ‘Time :: Fate :: Karma :: God’ Track With ‘Dead Club City Deluxe’

Nothing But Thieves have shared their ‘Dead Club City Deluxe’ today, which features almighty new track ‘Time :: Fate :: Karma :: God’.

Nothing But Thieves secured their first-ever UK Number 1 album with ‘Dead Club City’ last summer – an achievement they’d previously come close to although didn’t quite get over the line.

Its shimmering atmospherics and 80s-inspired synths helped concoct a thrilling world for listeners, and now its deluxe version arrives with three new tracks and some stripped-back versions of two of the original album’s singles, ‘Overcome’ and ‘Tomorrow Is Closed’.

Speaking about the deluxe version of their chart-topping album, the band have shared:

“These extra songs leave the door open a bit. We like that. Maybe we’ll want to check in on ‘Dead Club City’ in a decade’s time and see how it’s doing?”

Speaking further to Rock Sound as well, guitarist Joe Langridge-Brown talked through the new tracks, explaining:

“Yeah, they were recorded at the same time. We spent five months recording. A lot of the songs, especially the latest single, really came together in the studio. 

“They were only sort of half formed ideas before we went in. It was a way to allow ourselves to take the energy from what we had done previously and finish the songs off.”

This summer will see Nothing But Thieves perform headline outdoor shows at Leeds Millennium Square and Cardiff Castle, as well as supporting Green Day on their summer tour, before tour dates across North America and Canada.
