Chicago Music Industry Women’s History Month Panel Discussion to Include Shawnaa, Terisa Griffin, more (Glenwood, IL) — Global Mixx Music and Film Forum has announced a collaboration with 5th District Cook County Commissioner Monica Gordon for a panel discussion dedicated to honoring remarkable women in the music industry. As part of the Women’s History Month celebrations, this event aims to recognize the invaluable contributions of women across various roles within the music landscape, particularly highlighting those from the Chicagoland region. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 27 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Chug-A-Lug Pub and Grill (18409 S. Halsted St. Glenwood)

The evening will feature a panel discussion titled “The Balance of Work and Wellness: Finding Your Peace,” moderated by life coach and speaker, Monique Roberson. The panel will address behavioral health and raise awareness about local mental health resources available. Music for the event will be provided by DJ First Lady.

Esteemed panelists include rap artist Shawnna; Gospel record executive Debra ‘Snoopy’ Hanna; public relations consultant Briahna Gatlin; Power 92 radio personality Money Maha; and R&B singer Terisa Griffin. In addition to the panelists, several industry luminaries will be honored, including House music legend DJ Celeste Alexander; Sony Music executive Cynthia Johnson; Crawford Broadcasting Director Patricia Edwards; radio personality Frankie Robinson; singers and songwriters Jameisha Trice and Tarrey Torae; and Hip-Hop legends NewSense and Teefa.

Commissioner Gordon will present awards to each individual for their outstanding contributions to the music and entertainment community.

This event is free to attend but requires an RSVP.
