There’s nothing more frustrating than clearing a block of Tartarus in one perfect run, only to have Elizabeth call you the next day to tell you someone has wandered in. It’s even more frustrating when you rescue someone, only for Elizabeth to call you yet again two days later to tell you someone else has wandered in. What are Missing Persons in Persona 3 Reload?
Partway through the story, Elizabeth will let you know that civilians have accidentally wandered into Tartarus during the Dark Hour, and you need to rescue them before they’re forever lost. While this might seem like a pain at first, rescuing them can be important as there a couple of them associated with Social Link progression.
Specifically, Bunkichi and Maiko are two characters that will wander into Tartarus in the tail-end of the year. You need to rescue them in order to continue their Social Links if they’re still in progression, and if you want to see their stories through at the end of the game.
Things are made even more complicated by the fact that every missing person has a different deadline for you to rescue them. It’d be very inefficient to go into Tartarus every time someone goes missing, so this guide should help you plan out your trips.
How to Rescue a Missing Person
The good news is that rescuing someone from Tartarus in Persona 3 Reload is easy. All you have to do is head to the floor that they’re located on, interact with them, and you’re done. Elizabeth will give you a general sense of where they’re located, while Fuuka will let you know when there’s a missing person on the floor you’re on. You can also speak with Officer Kurosawa at the police station in Paulownia Mall to get more info about the missing people themselves.
Aside from the satisfaction of rescuing civilians from Tartarus, the rewards you get from saving them are also pretty sweet. The gems, for instance, can be used to craft gear. You’ll also get plenty of money and valuable accessories for combat.
How to Claim Your Missing Person Rewards
After you’ve rescued a missing person from Tartarus, it’s time to claim those sweet rewards for all your hard work. To do this, head over to the police station in Paulownia Mall and talk to Officer Kurosawa. He’ll thank you for rescuing them, and also hand over the relevant rewards for each person you’ve saved.
