Woman killed in crash that left car tangled in wires, propped on wall

Carver police said Wednesday that a woman was killed in a crash that left a car tangled in wires and propped up on a stone wall.

Police said the crash on Main Street was reported at 5:38 a.m. First responders found a car that had crashed into a telephone pole.

The 56-year-old Carver woman who was driving was pronounced dead at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth. She was the only person in the car.

Her name was not released.

A portion of Route 58 was closed during the investigation.
