ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – One person is dead and another person is injured after a crash involving a motorcycle in Rio Rancho on March 12 ,2024.
Police say around 8:20 p.m. RRPD and RFD responded to the crash near 21st Ave. and Southern Blvd. Officials say a motorcycle driven by Eric Marlow and Joleen Mascarenas was traveling west on Southern. As the motorcycle was going west a vehicle driven by Thomas Lucero was traveling east and attempting to a turn into Southern Plaza and turned in the path of the motorcycle.
Marlow was taken to a hospital and died from his injuries. Mascarenas was taken to a hospital and is listed in serious condition. Police have not said who is at fault for the crash
