PROJECT PINK IS A LOCAL ORGANIZATION THAT FOCUSES ON SURVIVORSHIP AND WHAT’S BEING DONNED. A BREAST CANCER DIAGNOSIS. TODAY’S CONFERENCE BROUGHT IN HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS TO TALK ABOUT EMPOWERMENT, SELF-KNOWLEDGE, AND SELF-CARE IN REGARDS TO INTIMACY, AMONG OTHER BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS. HAVING GONE THROUGH SUCH A, UH, HEARTBREAKING, TRAUMATIC, UH, BREAST CANCER DIAGNOSIS IS ONE THING. AND THEN YOU HAVE TO LIVE WITH THAT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. Nearly 100 breast cancer survivors attended the first-ever intimacy conference hosted by Project Pink'd on Saturday.Project Pink'd is a local organization that focuses on survivorship and what's beyond a breast cancer diagnosis.Saturday's conference brought in healthcare professionals to talk about empowerment, self-knowledge and self-care in regard to intimacy among other breast cancer survivors."Having gone through such a heartbreaking, traumatic breast cancer diagnosis is one thing and then you have to live with that for the rest of your life. And no one thinks about that. The intimacy part after diagnosis.
