Gary M. Gruhlke OBITUARY
Gary M. Gruhlke, age 72 of Yorkville, IL passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the Pearl of the Tillers in Oswego, IL. He was born on January 22, 1952 the son of Elmer and Evelyn (Cottingham) Gruhlke.
Mr. Gruhlke was united in marriage on March 23, 1996 to the former Miss Monita Webb and they spent the next 27 years happily together. Gary graduated from Riverside-Brookfield High School in 1970 and he later graduated from Triton College. He was a member of the Wellspring United Methodist Church in Oswego, IL. Gary was employed for many years as buyer within the food service industry, retiring from Fox River Foods/Performance Foods in 2017. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and Chicago Cub fan who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Gary is survived by his wife, Monita Gruhlke of Yorkville, IL; his sons, Kevin Gruhlke of Des Moines, IA and Nicholas (Sarah) Breitenbach of Peoria, IL; and one brother, David (Lisa) Gruhlke of Aurora, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Evelyn Gruhlke.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Wellspring United Methodist Church, 1217 Wolf Rd, Oswego, IL. Interment will be private.
Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until the Hour of Service on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Wellspring United Methodist Church in Oswego, IL.
