Our 16 week old kitten suffered for 5 weeks from bloody, mucousy diarrhea and bowel incontinence and threw up daily after switching to Purina Pro Plan. We spent hundreds on diagnostics, including a PCR, and interventions at the vet to no avail. Vet decided it must be IBS. It never occurred to any of us that it was the food. After reading similar reviews however we stopped feeding the kitten Purina Pro Plan and resumed the previous brand. The vomiting stopped immediately and all other issues resolved shortly thereafter.

Their engagement specialists are incompetent and provide the worst customer service. They do not follow up on any open tickets or cases. You have to contact them via their website and start all over again. I just contacted their corporate office to request assistance and got blocked. I experienced an issue with my July order and since there was a significant delay with their order processing team, I canceled it. Yesterday, I received a strange email that my vet did not approve my recent order. None of the agents have addressed this matter and therefore I requested for my account to be closed effective immediately.

I will never feed my cat Purina Pro Plan indoor cat food. My cats got sick right after eating it. I got rid of the food and one of my cats got better. The other has been throwing up nonstop and not eating or drinking anything. He is so weak. I've never seen him this sick before. I may have to take him to the vet. It's been two days now since he ate that food and he has not improved as of yet. I will never buy Purina cat food ever again.

I switched to Purina Pro Plan at the recommendation of recently-graduated vet that I saw when my vet was not available. My cat is two years old and I've had him for one year. In that time, he's thrown his food up 3 times. All 3 times it has been Purina Pro Plan. Never any issues from Sheba, Blue Buffalo, or Iams. Will not be buying this food again.

I noticed that my two cats started vomiting a lot a few years ago on their regular food, and I tried everything, even the most expensive of foods, but nothing stopped the excessive vomiting. My cats do not get any people's food, only tuna packaged in water from a can occasionally and wet food when I notice they are vomiting. Purina Pro Plan Probiotic changed their health from average to above average very quickly, and they stopped throwing up. I highly recommend it. Each cat has completely different health needs, but Purina Pro Plan Probiotic seems to meet both. Thank you for one less worry, Purina. ♥

Sometimes both cats avoid the ff completely or puke and have loose bowels. Trying to find another brand worth the money. Tiki seems to be ok so far. Purina's meat products will make your cats ill. I've let them know, but they don't care. They act so concerned. I will never buy anything from Purina or the other companies affiliated with this company again.

Purina Pro Plan gives my cat diarrhea, I am very disappointed with it, it is quite expensive and I don't need any expensive cat food that makes my cat sick, can anyone make a suggestion what food to get?

Both my cats started vomiting on the new formula. It's the one with the matte bag versus the glossy bag. We went around town and bought the former bag at a few stores that still had it. But the new formula caused both of our cats to puke everywhere for several days on end. Also, this wasn't a straight change, they had their original formula in their bowl and we gradually added it as an extra step. I contacted Purina via Facebook under the name of Debra Elise and they ignored my post, and didn't contact me. There was also 1 very concerning ingredient that is now added to the new formula, which has been indicated in liver/kidney failure.

It's unacceptable to not be contacted by Purina. I recently had to reach out to Verizon, and ID me on both responded almost instantly. I hope the FDA will get involved. I've submitted a formal complaint.

My vet suggested Pro Plan with my cats' allergies. We put our cats on Pro Plan 6 months. They were throwing up more often, allergies got much worse and they seemed to slow down. I was very Disappointed. I DO NOT suggest this food brand, we are still dealing with the allergic effects 3 months later.

Food quality is consistent and packaging remains the same. It has been harder to order and receive the 5.5 ounce cans either due to marketing or supply chain delays. Our cats loved the Nutro brand of foods. But when their cat food looks it was pulled off the market and rebranded in smaller packaging it was no longer feasible in a multi-cat household. Purina Pro Plan quickly became our go to in the void and we have continued to use, plus the cats like it. We would recommend.
