Former Pitt QB Signs With Saints

PITTSBURGH -- A former Pitt Panthers quarterback has continued to find new holes in the NFL during a lengthy NFL career. 

Nathan Peterman, a former Tennessee transfer who played the best years of his college career at Pitt, has signed with the New Orleans Saints this week, according to a report from Nick Underhill of the New Orleans Football Network. 

Peterman's played for the Bears, Bills and Raiders during his six seasons in the NFL. He's completed 53% of his passes for 712 yards, four touchdowns and 13 interceptions over 15 career games, five of which were starts. 

In college, Peterman orchestrated one of the best offenses in Pitt history. In 2016, he started all 13 games for the Panthers, who set what were then school records in scoring. He completed 60.5% of his passes for 2,855 yards with 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions while posting the ACC's highest passer rating (163.4).
