Law enforcement in Utah have found the bodies of two men with Colorado Springs ties who went missing in the Blanding area last month.

The San Juan County Sheriff's Office Utah announced in a Facebook post Friday that  Christopher Owens, 28, and William Bull, 29, are confirmed dead after they were reported missing on Feb. 26. The sheriff's office did not provide details about where and how the bodies were found.

Case of Colorado Springs man and his friend missing in Utah now a homicide investigation

Owens was a resident of Colorado Springs, while Bull grew up in the area. They were both in Utah to work as mechanics, according to Owens' father Alan.

The sheriff's office previously said that the investigation of the missing men had shifted to a homicide investigation after the arrest of a man the pair were living with on March 10.

The sheriff's office said deputies took Charles Yoo, 35, into custody after a search warrant on a Blanding residence that Yoo owns, where Owens and Bull were staying.

Colorado Springs man, friend missing for 4 days in Utah

The affidavit says a friend of Owens and Bull became suspicious after seeing a text message sent from Bull's phone in which his ex-wife's name was spelled incorrectly, the day after the men otherwise broke contact. The friend also told deputies that Yoo said he had a gun missing from his collection and had not yet notified law enforcement.

Yoo told officers he last saw the two men on Feb. 26 leaving in a black Dodge in an unspecified direction. According to the affidavit, cellphone data from the missing men's phone show the devices did not leave the Blanding residence until midnight on the 26th, when they were both powered off. The text mentioning Bull's ex-wife was then sent from the area of the residence on Feb. 27, with the phone soon powered off again.

The affidavit alleges Yoo lied about his own location on March 1 when he left town and turned off location sharing on his device. The sheriff's office found "through investigative means" that his story of where he went did not match up with where law enforcement knew him to be.

Yoo was initially arrested on obstruction charges. The Salt Lake Tribune reports Yoo was charged earlier this month with two counts of aggravated murder.
