The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Review - 5 Ups & 5 Downs From "Become"

6. Down: Seriously, How Is This Going To End?

All of this, of course, brings us the ultimate question: How on earth is The Ones Who Live actually going to end?

Because "Become" is such a dull slog through familiar territory, and because it spends so long setting up a finale that will be more action-heavy than anything else, the big worry is that the series won't stick the landing, and will instead opt for a big firefight and a rushed happily ever after unworthy of its lofty ambition.

And look, we all want to see Rick and Michonne reunite with their family and settle into a new life in the Commonwealth or Alexandria, but at this point all signs point to an anticlimactic, predictable farewell that refuses to take anything resembling a risk, with Richonne taking on the CRM with minimal risk to secure their freedom.

A bit mean, sure, but considering the mainline show and its biggest spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead, both failed to end things on a high, who's to say The Ones Who Live will be any different?

I get to write about what I love, so that's pretty cool. Every great film should seem new every time you see it. Be excellent to each other.
