The festival’s full lineup was unveiled Wednesday with eight headliners, doubling up on each of the event’s four days.

Slayer and Pantera will headline on Oct. 10, followed by Slipknot and Five Finger Death Punch on Oct. 11, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest on Oct. 12, and Motley Crue and Disturbed on Oct. 13.

The 2024 event will include a fifth stage for the first time in the festival’s 12th year.

“Get ready Sacramento,” organizer Danny Wimmer said in a press release. “This is the biggest Aftershock lineup we’ve ever curated, and the largest rock and music festival ever put together in California.”

Other bands performing at the four-day festival include Evanescence, Breaking Benjamin, Staind, Rise Against, Anthrax, Pantera, Seether, and Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello.

Rapper Tech N9ne and hip-hop duos Cypress Hill and Insane Clown Posse will also take the stage at Discover Park.

“We couldn’t be more excited that Sacramento has become synonymous with the largest rock festival on the West Coast,” Visit Sacramento CEO Mike Testa said in a statement. “The city is ready to welcome fans for four days packed with more than 130 bands and unforgettable live music experiences.”

Iron Maiden’s Aftershock performance will be part of their “Future Past World Tour” and were the festival’s first announced headliner in October. It will mark the British rock band’s return to Sacramento since performing at the Golden 1 Center in September 2019.

Pantera is performing at the 2024 event after dropping out weeks before the 2023 festival. They were replaced in the lineup by Stone Temple Pilots.

Slayer’s festival performance will be the band’s only West Coast show this year, according to organizers.

It will be Motley Crue’s first Aftershock appearance while Slipknot will perform at the festival for the fourth time.

Slipknot last performed at Aftershock in 2022 and previously played at the festival in 2015 and 2019.

The band’s lead singer Corey Taylor was slated to perform a solo set at last year’s festival but dropped out of the event due to a knee injury and his touring group impacted by COVID-19.
