Scarlett Johansson may be the new face of Jurassic World. According to insider sources, she’s in talks to star in the sequel to 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion.

The Hollywood Reporter writes, “Scarlett Johansson is taking a bite out of a new blockbuster. The actor is in talks to join Universal’s new Jurassic World movie.”

If true, the Black Widow actress is taking a page out of co-star Chris Pratt’s book. He headlined three Jurassic World movies back-to-back while also playing Star-Lord in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy films.

The outlet reports Jurassic World 4 (working title) will be directed by Gareth Edwards, who’s best known for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and most recently, The Creator. It will also apparently be written by David Koepp, who penned the original Jurassic Park.

THR reports the movie is “already hurtling toward its July 2, 2025 release date,” but Johansson hasn’t officially signed the contract. It sounds like a soft reboot for the franchise, however, given the absence of Pratt and Jurassic World co-lead Bryce Dallas Howard in the rumors.
