Here are some of the best things to do this weekend in San Diego from Thursday, March 21 to Sunday, March 24.

Friday

San Diego Theatre Month: Locals can celebrate theater and other performing arts throughout the month of March with $15, $30 or $45 tickets at various venues. Broadway San Diego, City Ballet of San Diego, Mockingbird Improv, New Village Arts, Cygnet Theatre, Moxie Theatre, Lamb’s Players Theatre, SDSU School of Theatre, Television and Film and San Diego Junior Theatre are among the participating organizations this year. Robert Frost Sesquicentennial conference: This will be the final weekend of a five-day conference, honoring the 150th anniversary of Robert Frost’s birth, with poetry readings, discussions and workshops. The sesquicentennial celebration will include daily poetry workshops, roundtable discussions, lectures, happy-hour readings, book signings, an open-mic reading and more. 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. tonight and Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Women in music movie and silent disco: Rooftop Cinema Club will host a a celebration of Women’s History Month with a showing of “Pitch Perfect,” followed by a silent disco featuring music from popular women such as the Spice Girls and Beyonce. Vietnam Veterans Memorial tour: “The Wall That Heals,” a traveling ¾-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial from Washington, D.C., with a mobile education center will be in El Cajon. There will be an opening ceremony at 10 a.m. Thursday at Wells Park and the playing of taps is planned at sunset that day and March 22-23. A closing ceremony is at 1 p.m. March 24. San Diego Latino Film Festival: This is the final weekend for the San Diego Latino Film Festival. The lineup of featured films come from around the world in categories such as narrative short and documentary feature. Special events on the schedule include a food, beer and spirits festival and a closing night concert and awards ceremony on Saturday. Through Sunday. Tractor rides and selfies at the Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch: A spring day calls for a stroll among the flowers, and a guaranteed spot for bright blooms is the Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch. The fields can be visited daily through Mother’s Day, along with activities on the ranch, including tractor wagon rides, mining for gem stones and a strawberry shack. There will also be special events throughout the season. Saturday is kids day at the ranch, with bubble-making, professional yo-yo competitors, face painting and BMX performances. San Diego Wave FC home opener: San Diego’s pro women’s soccer team, San Diego Wave FC, will host its first home game of the season. Santee Bunny Trail: Participants can go online to the city of Santee website and see the official bunny trail map that will lead to eggs that can be collected along the way. Flowers and picnics: Starting this Saturday, the Flower Fields in Carlsbad is hosting a Pop Up Picnic Co. Picnics + Flowers event. Every weekend from now until May 12, guests can reserve a semi-private shaded area for an upscale picnic experience. Culinary choices include chickpea smash, cucumber chive or ham and tomato sandwiches, mini charcuterie boards, salads and fruit pies on a stick. Beverage options will include mint-infused water and hibiscus-lemon waters. Beer and dog festival: Barks and Brew Fest returns to the Waterfront Park on Saturday. The event brings together over 25 beer tastings from local brewers, pet and retail vendors, unleashed areas, various contests and competitions, games, music, food vendors and more. Sabor Latino festival: Sabor Latino, a food, beer and spirits event hosted by the San Diego Latino Film Festival features a Taste of Baja, pairing Latin cuisine in San Diego with the beers and wines from San Diego and Baja California. There will be unlimited food tastings inspired by award-winning Latino chefs, unlimited beer and tequila tastings (for 21 and older), interactive activities and live musical entertainment. The event will be held in the parking lot behind Mission Valley’s NOVO Brazil Brewing Co. 1 to 4 p.m. March 23 at the Mission Valley shopping center, 1640 Camino del Rio North.
