The Crooked Road is a 330 mile long driving trail that connects ten major venues and more than 50 affiliated venues that celebrate Virginia's heritage music.

This year many of the venues are celebrating some major miles stones such as the 50th anniversary of the Carter Family Fold and the Birth Place of Country Music's ten year anniversary.

Leaders of the organization are planning events for community members to celebrate.

The crooked road partners up with Bristol rhythm and roots reunion and executive director Tyler Hughes says he is excited for the artists playing at the festival.

We're really excited to be partnering with Bristol Rhythm and Roots this year we're going to be bringing a whole slate of artists from across the crooked road region to the stages here at the festival it's a partnership that's been going on for several years but we're really excited to kind of amp it up for our anniversaries, said Hughes.
