Kyra Sedgwick Poses with Husband Kevin Bacon on Set Together: 'My Favorite Scene Partner’

The actress shared a photo alongside her husband of 35 years on the set of their upcoming film, 'Connescene'

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick are getting cozy on set!

Sedgwick, 58, shared a new Instagram post on Friday, in which the married couple poses together on the set of Connescene. Bacon, 65, and Sedgwick reunited as scene partners on the big screen after two decades.

In the sweet Instagram post, the two are arm-in-arm and smiling wide for the camera. Bacon sported a Copperhead Road t-shirt and held up an acoustic guitar in the air — but it’s not confirmed whether the two were wearing costumes or their own stylish looks.

“On set shooting Connescence with my favorite scene partner 🫶🏻,” Sedgwick wrote in the Instagram caption.

The upcoming film is written and directed by The King of Queens creator Michael J. Weithorn.

Bacon stars a security guard named Stan, who meets Sedgwick's character Cynthia after he stops an attempted robbery at her home. "From this chance encounter grows a charged and dynamic friendship – first as late-night text sessions filled with humor and intimate revelations, growing into something that shakes the foundation of both their lives," reads the synopsis, per Deadline.

“We are so excited to work together on screen again for the first time in 20 years in such a funny, moving and original script,” said the couple, reported Deadline.

The pair joined for their first roles together in two decades, following their work on 2004 features Cavedweller and The Woodsman.

Although they haven’t acted in the same films since the early aughts, Sedgwick starred in Bacon's feature directorial debut with 2005's Loverboy. Then, 17 years later, Bacon returned the favor and starred in Sedgwick’s 2022 directorial debut, Space Oddity.

Along with Bacon joining the set, their son Travis, 34, composed the film's music. "It's great working with your family, and it's complicated working with your family," Sedgwick told PEOPLE in March 2023.

"But you know no one's going anywhere, so that's kind of nice. You can struggle through it and puzzle through it together," she added.

The pair first met on the set of the PBS movie Lemon Sky in 1987, and were engaged by the end of that year. They married on Sept. 4, 1988, and recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. They share a daughter, Sosie, 31, in addition to Travis.
