Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon Have Sweet 'Sex and the City' Reunion at Theater Gala
While we anxiously await season three of And Just Like That... show stars Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon graced us with an unexpected red-carpet reunion.
Kristin supported Cynthia at the New Group’s 2024 Gala, held in New York City’s Edison Ballroom, yesterday evening. The annual event supports and helps fund “powerful, contemporary theater that is adventurous, stimulating and most importantly ‘now,’ a true forum for the present culture,” per their website.
Cynthia, who is on the board of directors for the company, was honored at the gala with the Mimi and Michael Mendelson Award for Outstanding Commitment to Theater. She also put on a special performance of the New Group’s new play, The Seven Year Disappear.
“Look who made it all the way across the country to see the show! I ❤️ & appreciate you SO MUCH @iamkristindavis,” Cynthia wrote over a photo of the two on her Instagram Story.
“So thrilled I got to see yet another brilliant performance on stage by Cyn,” Kristin wrote over the same photo.
The longtime friends and co-stars first met on the set of Sex and the City in 1998 and worked together on the series for six years before reuniting in And Just Like That....
Last night, they walked the red carpet together at the gala in contrasting looks. Cynthia glowed in a silky gold gown, matching pointy gold heels that wrapped around her ankles, and a shimmery gold oval clutch. Kristin, meanwhile, pulled out a little black dress for the occasion—one embroidered with a silver leaf-like motif and embellished with little white pearls. She paired the dress with matching pumps, a black mini bag with a metallic silver top handle, and diamond jewelry, including studs and a tennis bracelet.
