YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — On Wednesday, a Mahoning County Magistrate issued a ruling in favor of Mill Creek MetroParks following the first season of deer culling in the park.

Those protesting the deer hunt brought up new issues, and magistrate Nicole Butler ruled that deer hunt is still lawful and legal. She ruled in favor of Mill Creek park.

The hunt ran from last October through January, with the total number of deer harvested coming in at 204.
