An Evening with Gloria Jones - 60 Years of Tainted Love

Gloria Jones recorded the original version of 'Tainted Love' in 1964.  She was also a songwriter at Motown, where her songs were recorded by artists including The Jackson 5, Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye, Gladys Knight, Jr. Walker and The Commodores.  She has sung background vocals on records by Tina Turner, toured with Bob Marley, and later was a member of legendary Glam Rock group T Rex, when she fell in love with Marc Bolan with who she shares a son, Rolan.

This incredible evening will feature Gloria Jones in conversation with Paul Stuart Davies, sharing her stories from her 60 years in music.  Hear the stories behind the songs and the stars and have the chance to meet Gloria in person.  Our after party will feature Wigan's finest Russ Winstanley and Alan King playing 'til midnight - you may catch Glo on the dancefloor!  All proceeds from this event go to Gloria's charities, including The Marc Bolan School of Music and Film in Sierra Leone, which Gloria is founder of.
