MORRISVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Eight fire units from Morrisville and Cary responded to a fire at an abandoned home along Davis Drive on Wednesday night.

According to Deputy Chief Tom Dooley of the Morrisville Fire Department, no one was hurt in the fire which started burning around 7:30 p.m.

People nearby noticing the fire took video from the parking lot of the NetSports at 3717 Davis Drive. The fire, Dooley said, sparked at the address of 3725 Davis Drive.

Fire officials have not yet determined what sparked the fire, but an investigation will be conducted to try to determine the cause. Once crews began battling the flames, it was knocked out within 20 minutes, the deputy chief said.

While the structure of the home is still standing, Dooley said it was a total loss and that no other structures nearby were harmed by the fire.
