Celebrity Big Brother fans have spoken out it defence of Nikita Kuzmin as they solved a 'phone' mystery after he was spotted with a device. The dancer is among the famous faces to have swapped their regular lives for life for the famous house for a number of weeks as ITV rebooted the reality series.

Nikita was seen in his element earlier this week during a Popstars-inspired task in which he was able to choreograph performances by the boys and the girls which they later performed for him, theatre star Marisha Wallace and former X Factor judges Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.

But viewers of the show were recently left distracted as when in the Diary Room in the early hours of the morning, they noticed something that appeared to be a mobile phone resting on Nikita's knee.

@Hey_Judexx said: "Did Nikita have a phone when he went in the diary room? #CBBUK He went to the room with a cup and a plate. It changed to a cup and a device then nothing all in the seconds allegedly." @Charlie123408 commented: "@bbuk Is that a phone on his lap?!?! #CBBUK." @KieranPaddy96 added: "Do I see a phone or is it just me..?? @bbuk #CBB #CBBUK."

But fans of the Strictly star were quick to point out what it really was. @Jessica84064921 said: "He is diabetic, He uses it has a monitor." @deeper_thinker_ added: "It’s a libre machine for his diabetes he taps the machine on his arm to test his sugars."

During his time in Strictly, Nikita has been praised for his honesty about his health. Nikita was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes as a child and now uses his profile to help raise awareness of managing the condition - calling it his "superpower".

Last year, Nikita also opened up to fans about his journey, struggles and symptoms living with the condition. He shared how was "proud to be diabetic" and wear a sensor, admitting he had "good and bad days". He said: "Shared a bit of my personal story this morning and hope to send a little message to maybe that one person who needs a bit of positivity in a newfound condition. Your life will be fine! Everything is ok. You can manage everything!"

But he did initially have fears. When appearing on Morning Live, he said: "When I found out, I thought, 'My career's over,' and the next morning I woke up and I saw all those kids smiling and they were happy and they were diabetics just like me. I went out of my room and - this is one of my best memories in my life - there was this wall of fame.

"It was all of the famous, successful diabetics - Olympians, Paralympians, presidents, actors - everything. And actually, I think I made quite a few of them up because I thought there was quite a few more people than there actually were. I checked a couple of days ago and most of them were not even there."
