GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — LaughFest, a multiday comedy festival in West Michigan, kicks off Wednesday.

The first event of this year’s festival will be LaughFest: Night at the Museum, a family-friendly event at 6 p.m. at the Grand Rapids Public Museum, according to a news release.

Other opening-day events include the Cancer Survivors Showcase at Midtown, Drums for All with Josh Dunigan at LowellArts, the What Makes You Smile Art Exhibit at Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids, and Trivia Night of Stars at Golden Age at Creston Brewery.

The four headlining acts for the festival’s 14th year are Tammy Pescatelli, Josh Johnson, Piff the Magic Dragon and Demetri Martin. Tom Papa will also perform as this year’s Red Door Gala host, concluding the festival.

LaughFest will run from March 6 to March 10 with more than 40 shows in Grand Rapids, Holland, Lowell and Gun Lake Casino. Tickets are available online at LaughFestGR.org.

Proceeds from LaughFest support Gilda’s Club, which provides free support for cancer patients, survivors and their families.
