Guitarist and composer Pat Metheny will be performing from 8-10 p.m, March 10, at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater as a part of his “Dream Box Tour.”
Metheny is a 20-time Grammy award-winner in categories including Best Jazz Fusion Performance in 1983 and Best Instrumental Composition in 1991. He was the leader of the Pat Metheny Group from 1977-2010, in which the band released 14 different albums together, such as “American Garage” (1979) and “The Way Up” (2005). The group won seven Grammys for seven of their albums. Apart from his band, Metheny ended up releasing 20 solo albums dating back to his first album in 1976, “Bright Size Life.”
Following the release of his album entitled “Dream Box” in 2023, Metheny introduced a solo tour, which began in the fall. Metheny plans on performing personal and fan-favorite songs from his 50 years spent creating music
