Jonathan Bennett is celebrating something special!

On Tuesday, the Mean Girls star, 42, and his husband, Jaymes Vaughan, marked two years of marriage together. In honor of the occasion, they both shared touching tributes to each other on Instagram.

In his post, Bennett reflected on his wedding day and how his life has changed since tying the knot with Vaughan, 40.

"Two years ago today, we became Bennett Vaughan. Two years ago today, I married my best friend. Two years ago today, we were surrounded by the people we love the most to celebrate. Two years ago today, I became the luckiest man alive," he wrote, alongside a video featuring highlights from the couple's March 2022 destination wedding in Mexico.

He continued, "People ask what has changed since getting married? The answer is everything. The world became brighter. I didn’t know it was possible to feel this loved and supported."

The actor concluded his heartfelt message by wishing Vaughan a happy anniversary and declaring, "We are just getting started."

Calling Bennett his "best friend" in his anniversary post, Vaughan wrote that being married to The Plus One star has surpassed his expectations.

"For as long as I can remember I used to dream about marrying my husband, and what it would feel like to find my forever person," he reflected. "Two years in I can honestly say it is way better than anything I ever dreamed of. I get to wake up every day with my best friend, my practical jokester, my soul mate."

Vaughan — who starred in season 21 of The Amazing Race and the MTV reality show The Real Friends of WeHo in 2023 — went on to share some words of wisdom about love.

"If I could be Dad for a second and offer just one thing I’ve learned about love, it’s this: Don’t settle," he urged. "Be open to love, but don’t settle. Wait until you find that person that it’s so obvious it practically hits you over the head. … That person that feels like you’ve known them your whole life, when they show up … lock them down. That’s the one."

He also opened up about how he didn't know what real love was until Bennett came into his life.

"Growing up gay, so many hateful things got put into my head that really messed up what I thought love was, I thought love was supposed to hurt me… so I let it. Then, my person came along and slowly and carefully fixed all that," he wrote.

Vaughan concluded his emotional message with a sweet message for Bennett: "I love you @jonathandbennett, Happy Anniversary my Prince. Thank you for being my one. Forever."

The pair first met in October 2016 on the news show Celebrity Page when Vaughan interviewed his now-husband. They got engaged in November 2020, and Bennett told PEOPLE at the time that the proposal included a special song that Vaughan wrote and performed for him.

"It's hard to describe what it feels like to have a song written about you that is so specific and that reassures all your insecurities. It was the best song I’ve ever heard," he recalled.

Ahead of their wedding, the duo made history by becoming the first gay couple to appear on the cover of The Knot magazine — a milestone that made them "super proud," Vaughan told Out Traveler in April 2021.

“When you see two men on the cover and then open it up and see the diversity, and the representation for so many groups of people, it’s really dang special to be a part of," he said.
