Former Tennessee Volunteers quarterback Peyton Manning needs no introduction to... well, anyone. The NFL Hall-of-Famer has a diverse resume that ranges from elite quarterback play to revolutionary broadcasting. The former Tennessee Volunteer has been a standout in several different avenues over the past few decades, so it means something when he takes the time to return to his alma mater.

This past week, Manning was in Knoxville, Tennessee, when the team began spring practices. He spoke to the 2024 squad and offered them words of wisdom. When offensive coordinator Joey Halzle took the podium, he pointed out the impact that Manning's presence had on the program and noted how the players responded to him.

"You get a guy like that to come in and talk to the guys last night and then met with the quarterbacks separately on his own – I mean, it’s. There’s not much more to say on that one, right? As he talked, everybody really listened, and he was just giving guys a bunch of great nuggets as far as the way he prepared, the way he went about his business, what his daily routine was, his weekly routine was, and our guys were taking pages of notes on it, so think it’s going to be something that’s crazy beneficial for those guys." - Joey Halzle on Peyton Manning
