Buffalo man accused in triple shooting indicted on multiple felony charges
A Buffalo man accused in a triple shooting earlier this year has been indicted on multiple violent felony charges, Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced.
Caron D. Fleming, 30, was arraigned before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case on two counts of second-degree attempted murder and single counts of first-degree assault, second-degree assault and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
According to prosecutors, Fleming allegedly shot three people several times with an illegal handgun about 2 a.m. on Jan. 6 in the 1100 block of Hertel Avenue. Police said the incident took place insider a hookah lounge.
One of the victims, a 36-year-old man, was hospitalized with serious injuries at Erie County Medical Center. Two others, both 28-year-old men, were treated at ECMC and released.

Fleming was ordered held without bail pending a pretrial hearing on June 6. If convicted on the highest charge against him, he faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison.
