Here’s WAVE News meteorologist Tawana Andrew with your forecast.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Clouds will increase this morning ahead of our next system. Scattered showers and thunderstorms march into the region this afternoon; rain chances will be highest in areas west of I-65. Temperatures warm into the upper 70s and low 80s for highs today.

Rain becomes more widespread tonight as the cold front approaches. Most areas look to see 0.25″ to 1″ of rainfall; however, isolated flooding is possible in locations that see over an inch. Lows fall into the 50s and low 60s tonight.

Some showers linger into Tuesday morning, but drier weather is expected for the afternoon. Highs top out in the 70s to near 80° tomorrow. Mostly clear skies remain Tuesday night as we cool into the 50s for lows.

For now, it looks mainly dry and warm for Wednesday and Thursday with highs into the 80s. Oaks Day for Friday does feature a higher rain chance that afternoon and evening…fading early on Derby Day Saturday. Stay tuned!
