Taylor Swift’s ‘Reputation’ Reaches A Special Milestone On The Albums Chart

Following

Taylor Swift is preparing to drop a new blockbuster album onto the world in only a few weeks. As the masses prepare to hear The Tortured Poets Department, most of the singer’s older collections are still being consumed non-stop by Swifties everywhere. In the U.K., one of her most popular–and divisive–projects reaches a special milestone, one which the superstar has reached before.

Reputation has now lived on the U.K. albums chart for 156 weeks, or exactly three years. This frame, the set is up ever so slightly to No. 22. Last week, it sat at No. 23, so even if consumption wasn’t technically up, clearly her listeners in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland are still loving the title.

Four of Swift’s albums have spent three years on the U.K. chart. All of them–and so many more–have all earned at least one turn at No. 1 in the country, as the singer has pushed 11 different efforts to the peak position.

Swift’s longest-charting album in the U.K. remains 1989. The project that helped her transition from country (or country pop) to pure pop has lived on the all-encompassing ranking of the most-consumed full-lengths in the country for 346 frames. This week, it’s down from No. 55 to No. 60.

Amazingly, while 1989 is still present around the middle of the chart, its re-recording is doing even better. 1989 (Taylor’s Version) returns to the top 10 this period, jumping from No. 12 to No. 10.

Swift’s second-longest-charting album in the U.K. is Lover. That set has thus far managed 221 weeks on the tally. Folklore comes next, with 190 turns on the list. Both of those projects can also be found on the roster today.

The singer will collect a fifth three-year-charter in a little over a month, or at least that’s how things look at the moment. Her album Evermore, which is also present on the tally, is up to 149 weeks on the ranking. By the time The Tortured Poets Department has hit No. 1, her Folklore follow-up will almost certainly reach 156 periods somewhere on this roster.
