This Flatbush rental offers a fair amount of space, an entire early 20th century detached house, in fact. In addition to five bedrooms and two baths, it has plenty of period charm with fretwork, mantels, stained glass, and even a butler’s pantry. At 319 Stratford Road, it is in the Flatbush micronabe of Beverly Square West.

Plans for the house and its neighbor to the south were filed by J. Perkins, Jr. in 1900 when the road was known as East 11th Street. Prolific architect Benjamin Driesler was behind the design of both of the houses.

It is still a single-family with two parlors, a dining room, and a kitchen on the main level. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spread out over the top two floors.

The main level boasts the most intact details with wood floors with inlaid borders, picture rails, and columned mantels with original tile surrounds in one of the parlors and the dining room.

There are wood floors in the kitchen along with wainscoting, an apron front sink, and a dishwasher. In the butler’s pantry a built-in dish cupboard includes glass-fronted doors.
