East Texas (KLTV/KTRE) - Here is a look at the weather where you live: Good morning, East Texas! It is once again a chilly start to our day as most are waking up in the chilly 40s. You might want to grab an extra layer, be it a hoodie or a light jacket for any early morning plans, but you certainly won’t need it in the afternoon as sunshine and southerly winds will lead to some very comfortable highs near 70°! Skies will remain clear tonight and south winds get breezy by tomorrow which will lead to even warmer highs in the middle to upper 70s for our Friday. We will likely see a bit more cloud cover throughout the day Saturday and Sunday but expect dry conditions and a fair mix of sunshine as well. Southerly winds stay breezy throughout the weekend, which means our warming trend brings highs in the lower 80s for both Saturday and Easter Sunday. If you have any early morning plans for service or egg hunts, the weather will thankfully cooperate with dry skies and mild overnight lows in the lower 60s! Monday will be dry but breezy as well, then our next cold front swings through overnight and early Tuesday, leading to a decent coverage of showers and a few thunderstorms early in the day before drying out by Tuesday afternoon. Folks, we are only 11 days away from the total solar eclipse on April 8th! Be on the lookout for long range forecasts detailing expected sky conditions and cloud cover. We will keep you updated with the latest.
