CRAWFORD COUNTY, Il.(WTHI) - The search continues for a missing man named Bryson Ledsinger.

His family is hopeful as the investigation continues.

Ledsinger is from the Avon, Indiana area. He is described as a five-foot nine Black male, weighing around 230 pounds.

Police last made contact with Ledsinger in Vincennes, Indiana, but his vehicle was found running and abandoned on the Hutsonville Bridge, around 30 miles away.

The Silver Alert issued on March 17 was canceled upon contact, but once he abandoned his vehicle on March 19, Ledsinger was considered a missing person again.

Crawford County Sheriff Bill Rutan said Illinois Conservation and Indiana Department of Natural Resources are sending out search boats out on the Wabash River nearly everyday right now.

Officials at the Crawford County Sheriff's Office said they have searched both in and around the abandoned vehicle.

"We're looking into anything that's in the car that would give us any evidence to the whereabouts to the missing person," said Sheriff Rutan.

Ledsinger's sister, Chelsea Candis, said her family has not, and will not, give up.

Candis said, "I'm praying and hoping that he's just at a friend's house or just you know wanted to get away or something."

If you have any information on Ledsinger's location, you can call the Crawford County Sheriff's Office at 618-546-1515.
