Jake Paul ripped over fight vs. 57-year-old Mike Tyson: ‘You should be ashamed’

Members of the combat sports community are slamming the Netflix fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul due to their 30-year age difference.

“You should be ashamed of yourself,” former UFC champion and current analyst Michael Bisping wrote in a post on X. “And the biggest joke is you don’t even slightly realize why.”

Tyson, 57, and Paul, 27, will square off on July 20 at the Dallas Cowboys’ stadium in Arlington, Texas.

“You’re fighting someone who was born in 1966. Have some shame.” MMA fighter and one-time boxer Dillon Danis said on social media after the fight was announced.

Tyson, the legendary former heavyweight champion, will be 58 by the time the bell rings, which is why oddsmakers have pegged Paul, the YouTuber-turned-boxer, as the heavy favorite.

Fellow YouTuber KSI also reacted to the fight, saying, “50+ years old. No one wanted this… So sad to see, man…”

It is unclear if this will be an official fight or an exhibition, like when Tyson last fought against Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020; his last official fight was in 2005.

While the boxing world was furious about Paul and Tyson’s matchup, another past opponent was actually excited to see the fight.

Tyron “The Chosen One” Woodley — who fought Paul on two separate occasions, losing twice, including a highlight reel knockout in December 2021 — tells The Post that he is excited for the Tyson vs. Paul boxing match and wants Bisping, to keep his comments to himself.

“What does Michael Bisping have to do with this?” Woodley asked. “How ashamed was Michael Bisping when he fought old, dated Dan Henderson when he was ranked No. 15 in the world but fought him for the world championship?

“People are given the luxury of talking about things…. we have too much to talk about someone else. This fight has nothing to do with anyone else.”

As for Woodley’s prediction, he has Tyson to beat Paul.

“Tyson is a trained killer with a lifetime of experience. If he uses two percent of his boxing knowledge, it’s enough to make everyone, including myself and Jake, scared,” Woodley said.
