Discovery’s ’Deadliest Catch’ fisherman arrested in Florida Keys

KEY WEST, Fla. – Deputies arrested a reality TV star on Saturday night in the Florida Keys, records show.

Erik James Brown was featured on Discovery’s “Deadliest Catch” series. The 40-year-old fisherman from Captiva was part of Capt. Bill Wichrowski crew on the Summer Bay.

Deputies arrested him shortly after 9 p.m. at the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office station in Stock Island, arrest records show. He is facing two counts of probation violation.

Before he tattooed his face with “Pirate,” Brown was arrested for a marijuana growth operation in 2018, in Sanibel Island, records show. His arrest record includes domestic violence cases.

A Monroe County judge set Brown’s arraignment hearing for 9 a.m., on April 1.
