THREE PEOPLE WERE ON BOARD WHEN THIS ALL HAPPENED LAST NIGHT. WESH 2’S BOB HAZEN IS LIVE NOW. AT THE AIRPORT THIS MORNING, A BOB OFFICIALS SAY THAT THEY RAN INTO ANOTHER PLANE. YEAH. UNFORTUNATELY, NO ONE WAS ON THAT PLANE THAT WAS ON THE GROUND. BUT THIS DID CAUSE A BIG MESS OUT HERE FOR THE AIRPORT. NOW, CHOPPER TWO WAS ABLE TO SEE THAT PLANE THAT CRASHED ON THE GROUND YESTERDAY ON THE RUNWAY HERE. "It definitely caught me off guard for sure. I felt it on the ground," Herzog said.

According to officials with the Seminole County Fire Department, they and other agencies helped the airport's fire department.

The Orlando Sanford International Airport said two single-engine planes from a training facility were involved.

One of the small planes hit an unoccupied plane after it "landed short," the airport said.

Three people were on board the landing plane, one of whom was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The runway was closed for hours so it could be inspected for safety.

"The runway should be open within an hour or two," Lauren Rowe, with the airport, said Tuesday night. "So that should not be a problem for any of our traveling public, and all of our commercial aircraft should take off in the morning as scheduled."

The airport says the NTSB and the FAA are investigating.

This incident comes just one day after Terminal B at Orlando International Airport (MCO) was shut down after an unclaimed baggage was deemed suspicious, creating chaos. MCO resumed operations after no threat was found.
