Report: NWA sees small tax revenue gain in March

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Sales tax revenue in the top four cities in Benton and Washington counties totaled $8.734 million in January, a 0.62% increase from the year-ago period.

According to Talk Business & Politics, the March report, which reflects January transactions, shows year-to-date cumulative revenue for the four largest cities totaled $28.312 million, up 2.75% from last year.

Census: NWA has grown more than these metros since 2020

Rogers had sales tax revenue of $2.887 million, up 37.9% compared to the same month in the previous year.

Bentonville has seen its revenue stall in the past two monthly reports.

Springdale reported $1.748 million in revenue, down 6.24% from the year-ago period.

Fayetteville reported revenue of $2.368 million, down 2.52% from last year’s March report.
