ENTERPRISE – West Union coach Jake McDonald saw some positives from his young team Tuesday night, despite their 9-3 Division 4-1A loss to rival Smithville.

For example, sophomore pitcher Addison Collum struck out four batters, walked one and gave up four earned runs as the starter in the circle for the Eagles. The right-hander also got the Seminoles to hit into nine ground outs. Credit eighth grade catcher Braley Martin with some of Collum’s success.
