Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on Smithville Highway at Old Baxter Road in Putnam County.
Carla Meadows, 64, of Tennessee was driving a 2005 Honda Odyssey north on Smithville Highway near Old Baxter Road, and Tina Stone, 63, of Tennessee was driving a 2015 Chrysler 200 west on Old Baxter Road near the Smithville Highway intersection, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Stone ran the stop sign and struck the far front right side of Meadows' vehicle, according to the THP. Both Meadows and Stone were injured, and Meadows was transported by Putnam EMS to Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Both Meadows and Stone were wearing seatbelts, and no charges are pending against the drivers.
