ALPENA — Several art classes are offered during the 2024 Young Artist Exhibit, which runs from April 4 through 27 at Art in the Loft.

Each class costs $10, but you can apply for a scholarship at artintheloft.org.

April 6 classes for ages 5 to 11 include: 10 to 11:30 a.m. — Leatherworking with Tim Parsell; 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Kids in the Kitchen with Jess Krawczak; 1 to 2:30 p.m. — Scratch Art with Samantha Freske; 2:30 to 4 p.m. — Pointillism with Lane Blair Olsen.

April 13 classes for ages 12 and older include: 10 to 11:30 a.m. — Abstract Acrylics with Mariah Brancheau; 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. –Homemade Crepes with Amy MacArthur; 1 to 2:30 p.m. — Watercolor Techniques with Melissa Burns; 2:30 to 4 p.m. — Intro to Makeup with Hair by Ellie and Co.’s Melayne Manes.
