UofL's French Film Festival returns this weekend, with first showing at Speed Cinema
The University of Louisville's French Film Festival is back for another year, and this year's lineup of movies are all critically acclaimed.From March 24 through April 17, the film festival will be showing five films spanning across genres from romantic comedies to period dramas.The schedule is as follows:Sunday, March 24 at 12:30 p.m. - "La guerre est finie" (The War is Over)Wednesday, March 27 at 5 p.m. - "L’événement" (Happening)Wednesday, April 3 at 5 p.m. - "Revoir Paris" (Paris Memories)Wednesday, April 10 at 5 p.m. - "Amélie"Wednesday, April 17 at 5 p.m. - "La montagne" (The Mountain)The first film of the festival will be shown at the Speed Cinema, while the remaining four films will be shown at the UofL Floyd Theatre, which is located on the third floor of the Student Activities Center.There will be an introduction and discussions at each film from UofL French professors, the French club, or the Lamplighter Film Union.Each film is free and open to the public and will have English subtitles.For more information about the festival, click here.
