After a pleasant and cool day in Texoma, little is expected to change as we head into Saturday evening. Temperatures will drop just a bit, with lows reaching into the mid-50s across the area.

By Sunday, however, significant changes are expected!

First, winds will pick up speed in the early morning. In fact, a wind advisory is in effect all across Texoma, as winds are expected to be out of the south, blowing 20-30mph with wind gusts as high as 45mph.

Additionally, the passing of a low-pressure trough and the likely development of a dryline will contribute to what is currently forecasted as a marginal risk area for severe thunderstorms.

Primarily, with the exception of some scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm or two in the area Sunday morning, the main threat for any severe thunderstorms will be starting near 4 p.m. and lasting until 10 p.m.

The main threats for Sunday are dangerous strong winds and severe thunderstorms, with hail, lightning, and the possibility of a couple of tornadoes, which would be more likely in northern Oklahoma.
