The British Airways Concorde supersonic jet made its way back home to the Intrepid Museum on Thursday, March 14, 2024, in New York City. The retired jet, which still holds the record for the fastest transatlantic crossing by passenger aircraft, was undergoing a seven-month restoration project at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The Concorde traveled by a barge up the Hudson River and lifted onto Pier 86 via crane.
