A photo of her kissing her dad Scott through their kitchen window during the pandemic was featured in a lockdown photography project compiled by Kate.

Scott worked through Covid and moved out of the family home in Falkirk in Scotland’s Central Lowland to protect his daughter.

Kate shared words of comfort with Mila at Edinburgh’s Palace of Holyroodhouse in 2021.

Both wore pink and the Princess of Wales cautiously donned a mask.

After Kate revealed her own cancer diagnosis to the world, Mila’s mum Lynda posted on X/Twitter: “We are deeply saddened upon hearing the news about Catherine.

“A kind and caring soul who has always championed Mila both during and after her treatment.

“Mila is equally sad to hear this news and will reach out privately in her own way.”

In a second post, Lynda added support for Kate’s family, writing: “We extend our love support and well wishes to William, George, Charlotte and Louis, and wish Catherine a peaceful speedy recovery #YouAreNot Alone @KensingtonRoyal.”
